Following on from my last post, I thought I’d share our lovely new bathroom.
We bought the suite from Burlington Bathrooms. I took ages choosing the tiles again (poor Peter at tiles was very helpful as I pretty much viewed every subway tile he stocked), and I’m not 100% happy with my floor choice as I feel it looks a bit dull, in hindsight maybe a slight gloss to the floor tiles would have been nicer. I really wanted a patterned floor tile, but was over-ruled by hubby (boo!).
I love the traditional suite, the lovely big rolltop bath and Victorian style sink. We have underfloor heating in here too which is a wee luxury. I painted the gilt mirror with Annie Sloan chalk paint, to fit in more with the pale colour scheme, but I think it would have worked well in gold too. The print is an Emily Hogarth screenprint of one of her first paper cuts, which I bought for Tom for our first (paper wedding anniversary). I love this wee room!
